Using the TTRB: Keynote at the TTRB Seminar at Manchester Metropolitan University

Dr Jonathon Savage

Recently re-launched for the 2008/09 academic year, the TTRB is undertaking a series of workshops to promote the use of the Teacher Training Resource Bank (TTRB) across the country. The third of these events was at the Didsbury Campus of Manchester Metropolitan University on 21st November, with delegates from local HEI and school based providers.

A range of presentations was delivered throughout the day, including a keynote input from Dr Jonathan Savage of Manchester Metropolitan University, Using the TTRB; the presentation slides and an audio recording from this are available below. Jonathan describes how the TTRB can be used in a wide range of ways to support those involved in all aspects of teacher education. He also presents a number of examples of its use by tutors and trainees/students.

The workshop also had briefings on the technical and content enhancements of the TTRB, as well as workshops on the TTRB's links with the subject associations and opportunities for supported hands on sessions to explore the new facilities on the TTRB. In the afternoon, there were sessions on making the best use of the TTRB on programmes of Initial Teacher Education and Training and how to become a reviewer for the TTRB.

These presentations will be made available in due course to delegates, as well as the wider TRRB audience.
